[Problem] To provide a feasible transmission-type cloaking structure and manufacturing method for the same. [Solution] In the present invention, an entire medium that contains a host medium and constitutes an electromagnetic cloaking structure (1) has an isotropic refractive index, and when an average refractive index is obtained by averaging a maximum and a minimum in the refractive index distribution, the refractive index distribution includes: a high refractive index region (4) in which the refractive index is at a maximum at the plane sides around a concealment space (2) that enclose the concealment space, and becomes gradually smaller along radial lines that pass from the center of the concealment space through the planes, so as to become closer to the average refractive index; and low refractive index regions (5), which have two minimums that are atop one or two different virtual light axes passing through the concealment space (2) and that have therebetween the concealment space (2) and the high refractive index region (4), and the low refractive index regions (5) also have relatively low refractive indexes that grow gradually larger in the respective directions opposite the high refractive index region (4) atop the virtual light axes from the locations of the two minimums, so as to approach the average refractive index. |
