PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus which, in consideration of processing to be performed on image data obtained by reading a document, reads the front and rear faces of the document and outputs the image data.SOLUTION: Image data includes a first face and a second face generated by reading the first face of a document by a first reader and the second face of the document by a second reader. Whether or not to separate the image data into image data of the first face and that of the second face is determined on the basis of processing to be performed on the image data generated by being read by the first reader and the second reader. When it is determined to separate, the image data including the first face and the second face is separated into the image data of the first face and that of the second face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
