PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding-resistant member having a high hardness surface and a deep hardness distribution, capable of suppressing cost; and to provide a production method of the sliding-resistant member.SOLUTION: Each sliding-resistant member 10, 20 has a substrate 11 formed of a steel, and a film 12 formed on the surface of the substrate. The carbon content in the substrate is lowered gradually from the surface of the substrate toward the inside. The film is formed of a carbide containing at least one kind of element selected from a group comprising transition metal elements of group 4A, group 5A and group 6A in the periodic table.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
