An optical fiber core is provided with: a glass fiber including a core and cladding that covers the core; and a resin coating layer covering the glass fiber. The resin coating layer has a colored layer with a thickness of 10 μm or greater. The change rate of the yellow index of the resin coating layer is 5 or less per day after the resin coating layer is subject to temperature and humidity deterioration for thirty days in an 85°C and 85%RH environment.
