PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer readable dictionary for natural language processing for efficiently using language units such as predicate templates and words which constitute phrases in order to be able to automatically recognize logical relation between the phrases.SOLUTION: A dictionary 96 is a computer readable dictionary 96, to be used for natural language processing by computer, in which each of many first language units is stored in relation with another second language unit together with the polarity of the relation. The relation means whether an object indicated by the first language unit promotes occurrence of an object indicated by the second language unit or not. The polarity is one or another of a first symbol and a second symbol according to whether the object indicated by the first language unit promotes occurrence of an object indicated by the second language unit or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
