A vehicle-use storage battery system comprises a storage battery, a main circuit unit, a breaker, a storage battery management unit, a first determination unit, and a second determination unit. The main circuit unit is electrically connected to the storage battery. The breaker is disposed between the storage battery and the main circuit unit for performing circuit-closing or circuit-opening of the electrical connection therebetween. The storage battery management unit manages the operating states of the storage battery. The first determination unit determines whether to break the electrical connection between the storage battery and the main circuit unit by use of the breaker. The second determination unit determines, on the basis of at least one of the operating states of the storage battery management unit, first determination unit and breaker, whether to break the electrical connection between the storage battery and the main circuit unit by use of the breaker.
