A biotip according to an embodiment of the invention moves a reaction mixture along a longitudinal direction under the force of gravity. The biotip includes a chamber formed of a transparent material and filled with a liquid having a smaller specific gravity than the reaction mixture and immiscible with the reaction mixture, and a seal that seals the chamber. The liquid has a volume resistivity of greater than 0 Ω·cm and 5×1013 ∩·cm or less.

1. A thermal cycler comprising:
a cylindrical chamber; a rotatable holder that is separately provided from the chamber and that holds the chamber; a reaction mixture that moves along a longitudinal direction of the chamber due to gravitational force that is changed by rotating the chamber; and a liquid filled in the chamber, the liquid having a different specific gravity from that of the reaction mixture and being immiscible with the reaction mixture, wherein rotation of the thermal cycler switches the thermal cycler between a first disposition and a second disposition, the first disposition has a first portion of the chamber oriented to a lowest part of the chamber with respect to a gravitational force direction, the second disposition has a second portion of the chamber oriented to the lowest part of the chamber with respect to the gravitational force direction, the second portion being different from the first portion relative to a moving direction of the reaction mixture, a rotation angle difference between the first disposition and the second disposition with respect to the chamber is 180 degrees, and the chamber has an inner diameter of 1.5 to 2.0 mm.
