Disclosed is a transmission system of a hybrid electric vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the transmission system of a hybrid electric vehicle of the present invention, on an input shaft where the power of the engine is entered, comprises: a first motor, a second motor/a generator; a planetary gear set; a first output gear for the second motor/the generator; a second output gear for the engine; a first clutch for under drive; and a second clutch for over drive. On the same axis of the input shaft, a hollow shaft is formed on the side of the outer circumference of the input shaft to convey the power increased on the engine or the power of the first motor/the generator to the second output gear, and an outer peripheral shaft is formed on the side of the outer circumference of the hollow shaft to convey the power of the second motor/the generator to the first output gear. The planetary gear set is placed on the rearmost part on the opposite side of the engine on the input shaft in the transmission housing, and a sun gear is fixated on a rear cover to work as a fixed element.
