PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal alignment agent that has good storage stability in low-temperature storage for a long period and good coating property on a substrate, and is designed for reduction of a frame.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystal alignment agent that contains a solvent, and at least one polymer (A) selected from the group consisting of a polyamic acid obtained by causing a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride to react with diamine, polyimide, and polyamic acid ester, where the solvent includes at least one specific solvent (B) selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by the following formula (b-1A) and a compound represented by the following formula (b-1B).SELECTED DRAWING: None |
