摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus capable of preventing the occurrence of cracking in a pressure generation chamber caused by liquid expansion when a liquid is frozen.SOLUTION: A liquid jet apparatus comprises: a nozzle plate 20 in which nozzles 21 are formed; a pressure generation chambers 12 that communicate with the nozzles and that eject a liquid in the pressure generation chambers from the nozzles by a pressure variation generated by driving a driving element 300; a manifold 100 that communicates with the pressure generation chambers 12 and that supplies the liquid to the pressure generation chambers; cap means for capping the nozzle; and control means that selects a mode 1 or a mode 2 to actuate the cap means when the liquid jet apparatus is powered off. In the mode 1, the liquid jet apparatus is in a power-off state or in a power-saving state while the nozzle is not capped with the cap means. In the mode 2, the liquid jet apparatus is in a power-off state or a power-saving state while the nozzle is capped with the cap means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
