<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism against fruit and vegetable diseases, and a plant disease prevention material using the microorganism. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are Bacillus amyloliquefaciens S13-3 strain isolated from the natural environment, and the plant disease prevention material using the strain. The microorganism is effective for preventing a wide range of plant diseases caused by filamentous fungi and exhibits antimicrobial effect owing to its externally produced antibiotic substance.
