<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely assist opening motion of a door against a pressure difference generated between the outside and inside a room. <P>SOLUTION: An opening force reduction lock 1 where a latch member 54 is provided so as to advance and retreat from a door 4, a strike plate 6 having a latch receiving hole 10 allowing the latch member 54 to advance and retreat is provided on a door frame 2, and opening motion of the door 4 is assisted from a state where the latch member 54 is retreated or inverted from the latch receiving hole 10, includes a notch part 11 which is formed in the strike plate 6, a contact member 6 which is provided in the notch part 11, and a pressing body 47 which is provided so as to advance and treat from the door 4 and contacts with the contact member 16 at projecting from the door 4 to assist the door 4 in moving in an opening direction.
