A permission management method and apparatus are provided. The permission management method includes: setting a corresponding permission for at least one grouping container (101); moving an application into the grouping container according to an instruction of a user (102); and restricting a permission of the application in the grouping container to an intersection of the permission owned by the grouping container and the permission owned by the application (103).
