The present invention provides an illumination device enabling a slimmed-down structure and a display device including the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the illumination device includes: a plurality of light source packages including a pair of a first electrode lead and a second electrode lead protruding from one side; and a light guide member disposed on one side of the light source packages. The light guide member includes: a light guide plate; and a circuit pattern formed on a lower surface of the light guide plate, and including a first electrode pad connected to the first electrode lead and a second electrode pad connected to the second electrode lead.
