PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous pigment ink composition for ink jet recording excellent in terms of discharge stability and post-discharge drying quickness capable of realizing a printed plane with an excellent chemical resistance even when dried at a low temperature.SOLUTION: The aqueous pigment ink composition of the present invention for ink jet recording includes a pigment, an emulsion resin, a surfactant, and water, whereas the surfactant includes a polyglycerin fatty acid ester, whereas the content of the polyglycerin fatty acid ester with respect to the total weight of the aqueous pigment ink composition for ink jet recording is 0.3 wt.% or above and below 1 wt.%, whereas the content of the emulsion resin with respect to the total weight of the aqueous pigment ink composition for ink jet recording is 5 wt.% or above and below 30 wt.%. |
