Provided are a contact lens with a novel structure which can achieve an excellent lens-positioning performance in a circumferential direction in a worn state while ensuring a good wearing feeling and which can be easily manufactured with a high dimensional accuracy, and a method for manufacturing a contact lens. A peripheral part (24) of a contact lens (10) is provided with at least one thick portion (32) and at least one thin portion (30) that are capable of exhibiting a positioning effect in the circumferential direction in a worn state. In a change region (34) that connects the thick portion (32) to the thin portion (30), thickness changes are given respectively to a lens front surface (18) and to a lens rear surface (20). |
