A rear-view mirror assembly (100) for viewing to the rear of a vehicle at least adjacent lanes to the lane occupied by the vehicle comprises a mount (102) for mounting the rear-view mirror assembly to an interior of the vehicle and a mirror including a rear mirror shell (124) and a flat reflective surface (102) rigidly mounted to a front of the mirror shell. An electric servo (152) is mounted to the rear of the shell and is attached to the mount and operable to selectively pivot the mirror about a vertical axis (C) and a horizontal axis (D). A switch (162, 164) is remotely mounted away from the mirror and is accessible to an operator of the vehicle. The switch is selectively positionable to selectively drive the servo for pivoting the mirror about the vertical axis and the horizontal axis. |
