METAL-BODY ANTENNA TO OPERATING WIDEBAND IN A MULTI-BAND

The present invention relates to a metal body antenna using a housing part and a battery cover as an antenna. According to the present invention, the metal body antenna comprises: a radiating element; a ground; a frame bezel part; and a connection line. The radiating element receives an applied signal from a feeding port. The ground is coupled to the radiating element to generate an induced current. The frame bezel part is formed through separation by the ground, a dielectric body and a cap. The connection line is formed on an upper part of the dielectric body to connect the ground to the frame bezel to induce a current in the ground to be transferred to the frame bezel part. The metal body antenna has a dual antenna with a half wavelength as an electrical length such that the metal body antenna is operated with a wideband in a multi-band device. Therefore, the metal body antenna effectively uses the bezel part as a frame and has a structure of a multi-band antenna operated in the wideband with less loss of radiation, thereby satisfying all types of penta bands (GSM850, EGSM, DCS, PCS, W2100) typically used in a mobile phone.
