摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic base material from which a fiber-reinforced molding, that more properly absorbs the unevenness of the surface of a fiber-reinforced composite material to enhance the design properties of the surface of a final molding, can be produced, and to provide a method for producing the fiber-reinforced molding by using the thermoplastic base material.SOLUTION: The method for producing the fiber-reinforced molding comprises the steps of: heating the thermoplastic base material to expand a thermoplastic resin of the thermoplastic base material so that the unevenness formed on the outside surface of the fiber-reinforced composite material is buried when the thermoplastic base material, in which discontinuous fibers are dispersed in the thermoplastic resin in such a state that the discontinuous fibers are superposed on one another, is layered on the outside surface of the fiber-reinforced composite material and integrated with each other to produce the fiber-reinforced molding; forcing the discontinuous fibers, which are dispersed in the state that they are superposed on one another, to be moved so that the thickness of a fiber layer of the discontinuous fibers becomes larger to the thickness direction of the thermoplastic base material; and restraining the unevenness of the outside surface of the fiber-reinforced composite material from being spread to the surface of the fiber-reinforced molding.
