PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the travel safety of a vehicle by enabling a drive support apparatus to issue an alarm continuously even after ending automatic braking control for avoiding collision of a vehicle itself with a target article.SOLUTION: A drive support apparatus performs: detecting a target article existing within a given detection area in front of a vehicle itself; starting to issue an alarm using alarm means toward a driver of the vehicle itself in a case where a possibility of the vehicle itself colliding with the detected target article becomes or exceeds a given level; starting automatic braking control for braking the vehicle itself for avoiding collision with the target article after issuing the alarm; and continuing to issue the alarm until given timing (e.g., when the driver of the vehicle itself performs a given drive operation) after the automatic braking control is finished. |
