A rotating tool (1) is produced for machining, which comprises: a base body (2) with a first end (21) to be connected to a receptacle of a machining machine and with a second end (22) that has a plurality of seats (3) for securing replaceable cutting inserts (4); a coolant channel (6) for supplying coolant and/or lubricant originating from the first end (21); a funnel-shaped recess (7), which proceeds from a front face of the base body (2), is disposed on the second end (22), increasingly tapers in the shape of a funnel with increasing distance from the second end (22) towards the first end (21), and issues into the coolant channel (6); and a cover (10), which frontally shuts the funnel-shaped recess (7), except for a plurality of coolant outlet regions (8) associated with the seats (3), and which has a projection (12) that protrudes into the funnel-shaped recess (7). |
