1. Method of preparing and dispensing a beverage with a dispensing device, the device comprising:
- a pressure controller (13) controlling the pressure in a liquid line (6); and a container receiving means (7) such that when correctly installed, the content of a container (8) is in fluid communication with the liquid line (6) for mixing the content of the container (8) with a base liquid in the liquid line (8);
- a container identification unit (14)
- a processor for controlling said pressure controller (13) in function of the container identification (15); the method comprising the steps of:
- providing a container (8) in the device;
- identifying the container (8);
- providing a base liquid (5);
- mixing the content of the container (8) with the base liquid (5) to prepare the beverage;
- dispensing the thus prepared beverage;
wherein the pressure in the liquid line (6) changes from a first pressure level higher than ambient pressure to a second pressure level higher than the ambient level by said pressure controller during mixing and dispensing of the beverage.
