An apparatus for low latency simulation using orientation prediction comprises: a sensor unit to use one or more sensors to acquire motion information of a target body; an orientation calculation unit to use the motion information to calculate orientation information of the target body; and a simulation unit to simulate a physical object and render the physical object in an image based on the orientation information received from the orientation calculation unit. The orientation calculation unit may comprise a time delay compensation unit to use a time difference between a time point at which the motion information is acquired and a rendering time point to modify the orientation information. The orientation information is predicted considering a time delay between a measurement period of the sensors and a rendering period and/or a time delay between image rendering and image display on a real screen and used to perform simulation to lower latency between motion of the target body and the image and obtain a natural simulation result. |
