<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device which requires no sub microcomputer in an electric power steering device including a dual control system. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device includes two systems of control devices 5A and 5B. Each of the control devices 5A and 5B includes fault estimating sections 56 and 66 which estimate a fault of the partner system. The fault estimating sections 56 and 66 monitor the time Te, through which output values of electric motors 1a and 1b converge to a target instruction value. When the convergent time Te is longer than a standard time γ, the fault estimating sections 56 and 66 estimate a fault of the control device of the other system. The control device in the normal system, which has estimated a fault of the control device in the other system, performs control to shorten a control period T0 of the control device in the normal system and to increase a control gain K0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
