The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for authorizing an operation, which belongs to the field of network security. The method includes: acquiring (202) motion data collected by a wearable device; detecting (204, 404, 504) whether the motion data is motion data matched with a physical motion for verification; and if the motion data is the motion data matched with the physical motion for verification, authorizing (206, 405) to perform a predetermined operation corresponding to the physical motion for verification. In the present disclosure, the user identity is verified by the wearable device collecting motion data. |
