The invention relates to a mechanical razor having a simplified construction - particularly a mechanical wet razor, comprising a fixed razor head and a resilient blade insert. Proceeding from the prior art, the invention addresses the problem of providing a razor blade unit having an integrated joint section, which during shaving allows an adaptation of the angle α between the main contact plane - i.e. the plane which is spanned by all razor blade peaks and by the surface of the razor head frame at a slight distance therefrom - and the longitudinal axis of the shaver handle. The operative spring characteristic is intended to be adjustable by means of the selection of material and the shaping of individual components of the joint section, wherein the production of the razor blade insert is intended to be kept simple, with few method steps. The mechanical razor comprises of a handle, the stem shape of which is freely selectable. The tapered end of the handle is adjoined by a razor head constructed as an open frame stamped on all sides, which is rigidly connected integrally to the handle. The axial longitudinal axis of the handle and the surface tangent of the surface spanned by the frame assume the known angle α, which allows ergonomic handling of the shaver. Another aspect of the inventive novelty is that the razor head frame consists of a lower part having the connection to the handle, two flat side parts and an upper crossbeam, and is open. An approximately central subdivision of the frame by a web flush with the frame surface is used for stabilising the frame, and the flush surface of the web on the side facing the user is used as a sliding surface for maintaining the necessary safety distance between the skin surface to be shaved and the blade-peak plane. The space formed between the frame and the sliding-surface web is dimensioned such that there is space for a blade insert or blade block equipped in any manner with n blades, n > 0, said blade insert or blade block being movably locked in place non-exchangeably and non-detachably after installation. The upper frame edge of the blade insert is formed as a web flush with the blade insert surface, the surface of which web facing the user likewise forms the sliding surface for maintaining the additional safety distance between the skin surface to be shaved and the blade-peak plane. |
