PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel battery (SOFC) device which has an excellent durability and allows the further reduction in its installation space, and which is configured so that a container can be effectively prevented from being damaged while the size in a direction of the thickness is reduced.SOLUTION: The SOFC device 1 comprises a fuel battery module 2. The fuel battery module has a casing 56 in which a fuel battery cell assemblage shaped in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped form is housed. The casing 56 has a barrel part 560 which includes: a pair of long-side walls 561, 561 opposed to long-side faces of the fuel battery cell assemblage; and a pair of short-side walls 562, 562 opposed to short-side faces of the fuel battery cell assemblage. Each long-side wall 561 has an end whose face 561s is opposed to a face 562s of the short-side wall 562, and in this condition, the end is bonded with the short-side wall at its tip 56T by means of welding or the like. |
