摘要 A system including an autonomous sub-system 105 with first and second braking modules 106, 107, each module including a processor and a memory for detecting a fault, and a brake sub-system for actuating a brake mechanism in response to a signal from the second braking module 107. The autonomous sub-system is further programmed to select one of the braking modules to provide a signal to the brake mechanism depending on whether a fault is detected. Another embodiment includes a parking sub-system 109 for actuating a parking restraint in a powertrain 110 in response to a signal from the first module 106, a first power source 125 for the parking sub-system 109 and a second power source 126 for the brake sub-system 115, and the signal from the autonomous sub-system also actuates the parking restraint mechanism depending on whether a fault is detected. Each module 106, 107 may be programmed to send or receive a wakeup notification, or receive a notification from a communications bus. The incline or cargo weight of the vehicle may be considered when determining, based on the fault, whether a parking scenario is appropriate.
