A communications server apparatus (102) comprises a processor (116) and a memory (118), and is configured, under control of the processor, to execute instructions (120) stored in the memory to receive, over a communications link (108, 110, 112), URL information relating to a caller input at a calling device (104), the caller input being selection or activation of a URL as a request for a communication session with a recipient device (106a, 106b). The recipient device is identified using the URL information and a communication session is initiated between the calling device and the recipient device. The calling device implements complementary functionality to interface with the communications server apparatus. |
