<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel assembly structure for a fast reactor capable of avoiding reaching recriticality by having molten fuel exhausting-scattering ability at core damage. <P>SOLUTION: Many fuel assembly structures for a fast reactor installed in a fast reactor with adjacent outer peripheral surfaces in close contact include a cylindrical mantle tube 11A having a hollow cross section, and many fuel rods 10 housed in the mantle tube 11A. A hollow cross sectional shape of the mantle tube 11A is provided with a gap formation part 20 which continues to the outer peripheral surfaces of adjacent mantle tubes in an axial direction and is not partially in close contact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
