<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system having a lens for refracting light emitted from a light source, in which luminance unevenness in a diffusion plate due to the light emitted from the lens is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The lens 23 is provided with a curved part 31 recessed in the light emission direction side of an LED 22, and the curved part 31 has an end face opposed to a substrate 21 at the side part of the LED 22.
