<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repair welding in water, which can perfectly and reliably seal a defect area of underwater construction, after achieving man-hour reduction of repair work. <P>SOLUTION: A method for repair welding in water comprises: covering a bottom face Sa of the underwater construction S, including a defect area X generated in the underwater construction S, with a cover plate 10; and welding the cover plate 10 onto the bottom face Sa of the underwater construction S by means of laser welding. A thin plate with 0.5-4 mm plate thickness and made of the same material as a material forming the underwater construction S being the base material is used as the cover plate 10. In a position entering center side from the peripheral part 11 of the cover plate 10, laser light L is emitted so as to surround in a curb-like manner the defect area X in the bottom face Sa of the underwater construction S, to perform piercing welding while feeding inert gas G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
