The present invention relates to novel uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glycosyltransferase protein which has glycosyltransfer activity for glucose bonded by a glycosidic bond on a number 20 carbon on protopanaxadiol (PPD)-based or protopanaxatriol (PPT)-based ginsenoside. The present invention further relates to a use thereof. According to the present invention, the glycosyltransferase can be useful for the mass-production of specific ginsenoside.
