1. An automated method of preparing fabrication instructions for a portion of an electrical system to be installed in a building, the method comprising:
receiving or generating data defining geometry of an electrical conduit pipe run within the building; defining constituent components of the pipe run wherein the constituent components include a bent pipe component with a bend and wherein defining the constituent components is based on a selected pipe length selected from a pre-fabricated pipe length, a length of the pipe run, and effects of the bend in the pipe run, wherein the effects of the bend include:
location of the bend; andeffects of one of gain, shrink, and take-up for the bend in the pipe run; and preparing fabrication machine data useable to fabricate the bent pipe component, the fabrication machine data including a bend location defining a location of the pipe bend relative to the end of the pipe and a bend radius. |
