Disclosed is a compact keyboard capable of fast key input comprising seven main keys and three or four secondary keys for each of the main keys. According to the compact keyboard of the present invention, when a main key is pushed, a key code is generated corresponding to the main key, and when the main key and the secondary key subordinate to the main key are simultaneously pushed, a combination key code is generated corresponding to the combination of the main key and the secondary key. According to the present invention, the compact keyboard allows a user to input Korean and English characters fast.
