This invention provides a high precision food depositor directly driven by one or a plurality of stepper motor-based linear actuators and the method to control them in order to have repetitive high precision food deposits. High precision food deposits are possible due to the control method of the stepper motor driving system that is used to drive the stepper motor-based linear actuators. The main idea behind the controlling method presented by this invention is to control the driving system of the stepper motor-based linear actuators by combining two types of control signals: the stepping pulses and the timing signals. Bycontrolling the frequency of the stepping pulses and the length of the timing signals, the speed of the linear actuators and the time that the stepper motors are on can be controlled. This essentially allows for the piston's displacement to be adjusted as desired. |
