A method of preventing illicit use of digital certificate by performing a server of financial institute connected with a user terminal in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the following steps of: receiving information on the digital certificate from the user terminal when the digital certificate is selected by the user; confirming whether the digital certificate is illicitly seized by comparing the information on the digital certificate with information on pre-stored digital certificate; and approving using of the digital certificate based on a result of the confirmation. Thus, the present invention has an effect of preventing illicit use of a seized digital certificate in advance, by determining the digital certificate, received from an unregistered storing medium as an illicitly seized digital certificate using the digital certificate and information of a storing medium thereof, and suspending a transaction or providing an additional authorization procedure. |
