A computer-implemented method for generating an emotional representation of received data content, the computer-implemented method comprising: receiving, by a computer, data content corresponding to a user; responsive to the computer determining that the user requested an emotional representation of a predicted emotional reaction by the user to the received data content: scanning, by the computer, the received data content;tagging, by the computer, a segment of the received data content scanned, with a corresponding emotional tag;classifying, by the computer, segments tagged into a respective emotional classification in a plurality of classifications according to the corresponding emotional tag;predicting, by the computer, an emotional reaction of the user to the received data content using information comprising contextual information contained within the received data content, information from a historical user emotional reactions to perceived data content database, user profiles, respective emotional classifications of different identified segments of the received data content and a user emotional reactions to perceived data content statistical model;generating, by the computer simulating the emotional reaction of the user to the received data content, a personalized emotional representation of the received data content for output based on emotional representation of received data content preferences and using the emotional reaction of the user to the received data content as predicted; andmonitoring, by the computer, the user to identify a reaction to each classification of further received data content, wherein responsive to identifying the reaction, the computer stores an update in the historical user emotional reactions to perceived data content database.
