According to various embodiments of the present invention, a method for providing a location-based service by an electronic apparatus may comprise the following operations of: detecting information on the movement of the electronic apparatus; measuring strength values of a magnetic field around the electronic apparatus, which change according to the movement of the electronic apparatus; determining the location of the electronic apparatus, based on the comparison between a changing pattern of the magnetic-field strength values measured according to the movement of the electronic apparatus and a magnetic-field difference distribution map; and providing a service based on the determined location.
