The present invention relates to a plate-type carbon nanostructure, a manufacturing method thereof, and a secondary cell electrode comprising the same. The plate-type carbon nanostructure has a semi-crystalline structure and exhibits a sharp peak in the diffraction angle of 24 to 24.5° and a broad peak throughout the diffraction angle of 10 to 30° by a laser beam having a wavelength of 514.5 ± 10 nm. In the present invention, a plate-type carbon nanostructure, which is a novel carbon material having a two-dimensional structure, can be simply manufactured at low costs.
