In one aspect, a method of making an elastic composite for incorporation into a disposable absorbent garment, textile or fabric structure, and the like is provided. The method comprises the steps of: conveying a first web of material along a first web plane moving path; conveying a second web of material along a second web plane moving path generally parallel with the first web plane moving direction; and applying a section of a continuous strand of elastic element onto both the first web and the second web along a direction generally transverse to the web plane moving paths.
