The present invention relates to a metal ion-peptide complex, an oxidase consisting of the same, and a method for producing the same and, more specifically, to a metal-peptide complex comprising a peptide consisting of 4 to 20 amino acids including an amino acid sequence of the following formula I: X_2-Ala-X_3-X_4-Ala-X_1, and a transition metal; an oxidase consisting of the metal-peptide complex and catalyzing an oxidation reaction; and a method for producing the same. In the formula I: if X_2 is Ala, X_1 is Asn, Gly, His, Tyr, Ala, or Trp; if the X_1 is His, the X_2 is Gly, Ala, Val, or Ile; and X_3 and X_4 form an amide bond together, or are independently selected from the group consisting of Ala, Gly, Tyr, and His. |
