According to embodiments of the present invention, a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a text message and a method for notifying the reception of a text message. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for notifying the reception of a text message in a terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving, through a second communication system, a text message containing a service identifier of an access point that belongs to a first communication system; determining whether or not the current location belongs to coverage of the access point; and notifying that the text message has been received, when the current location belongs to the coverage of the access point. According to the embodiments of the present invention, when a text message recipient enters a desired location of a text message sender, desired content of the text message sender can be transmitted to the text message recipient. |
