The present invention relates to a propulsion device for a ship. The present invention comprises: a propeller provided to a bow of a hull to generate a thrust; a duct provided to a front side of the propeller; and a tilting unit enabling the duct to be rotated by introduction or leakage of pressurized oil. According to the present invention, the propulsion device for a ship comprises a tilting device to enable the duct to be tilted to optimize control of a flow rate of a fluid introduced into the propeller even if a trim of a ship is changed, thereby improving the thrust of the ship and minimizing energy consumption of the ship.
