A method for providing, by a reservation and purchase server, a video on demand (VOD) reservation and purchase service comprises the following steps: receiving purchase reservation information on a broadcasting program from a media playback device; storing video data with respect to the broadcasting program during the transmission of the broadcasting program; collecting meta information on the broadcasting program through web crawling; transmitting a purchasable message to the media playback device after the transmission of the broadcasting program is completed; and transmitting the meta information and the video data to the media playback device in response to a purchase confirmation message from the media playback device. |
