Biochip comprises a specific RNA polymerase beta subunit (rpoB) nucleic acid molecule capable of specifically hybridizing with a portion of sequence of the rpoB gene of bacteria of a first species of Legionella or with its complementary sequence. The molecule is immobilized on a support. Independent claims are included for: (1) a kit for the detection and/or identification of bacteria of species of Legionella contained in a sample, comprising the biochip, a first pair of optionally labeled nucleic acid primers capable of amplifying the sequence of a region of rpoB gene of the bacteria comprising the portion of sequence with which the rpoB nucleic acid molecule specifically hybridizes; (2) detecting and/or identifying in vitro of bacteria of species of Legionella contained in a sample using the biochip, comprising amplifying the sequence of region of rpoB gene of the bacteria comprising the portion of sequence with which the rpoB nucleic acid molecule specifically hybridizes, contacting the amplified DNA with the biochip, and detecting possible hybridization complex; and (3) a set of nucleic acid primers. |
