A display device and a method for displaying an indicator thereof are provided. According to the present invention, the display device displays an indicator while moving the indicator along a border of a display region in response to a received signal for changing a state of the display device, and stops the movement of the indicator in a predetermined position of the border. Therefore, the display device can display an indicator without interfering with a user who watches video content.
