摘要 The present invention relates to a cloud based intelligent power control system. The cloud based intelligent power control system comprises: multiple physical servers; multiple virtual servers realized on each of the physical servers as a software; a cluster collection managing unit for checking and storing resource use rates of each of the physical servers every certain period of time; a cluster statistics managing unit for extracting the average value of the resource use rates by comparing each of the physical servers forming the cluster, depending on the information stored in the cluster collection managing unit; and a cluster control managing unit for selecting a server of which the resource use rate is the smallest among all the physical servers if the average resource use rate is lower than a minimum threshold, moving the virtual servers which are being operated on a selected sever to the rest of the physical servers, and taking power off of the selected server. The present invention periodically checks the resource use rates of the physical servers in a resource pool to turn the power off of physical servers which are not being operated if the extracted average resource use rate is substantially low. If the average resource use rate in the resource pool exceeds a maximum threshold, the power of the physical servers is to be on in order to effectively use resources in the pool and reduce the electricity fee consumed for the operation of the physical servers. The cloud based intelligent power control system of the present invention is capable of simplifying the algorithm and the structure of the system for power control, thereby being easily mounted on a system for integrating and managing a hypervisor of various specifications.
