The present invention relates to a water treatment apparatus and a water treatment method. The water treatment apparatus uses a stainless steel nanotube which is stable to pH and temperature and has improved specific surface area as a photocatalyst, and does not need to condition external environments in comparison to a conventional photocatalyst while having remarkably improved efficiency of decomposing contaminants by ultraviolet rays and hydrogen peroxide. Further, the apparatus of the present invention does not require supplementary equipment such as a sludge separating or photocatalyst injecting and recovering device, and thus has low initial facility costs. Also, the water treatment method of the present invention has little loss and degradation of the stainless steel nanotube in an oxidative reaction process, and thus can continually perform purification process while remarkably reducing costs of manufacturing, maintenance, and water treatment. In addition, the water treatment method of the present invention is environment-friendly by using the stainless steel nanotube which has substantially low corrosiveness and toxicity in comparison to a conventional photocatalyst without possibility of secondary contamination. The water treatment apparatus of the present invention comprises: a hollow reactor; an inlet pump; an output pump; at least one stainless steel nanotube; an ultraviolet ray emitter; and a hydrogen peroxide supplier. |
