METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A NONWOVEN MATERIAL

The invention relates to a method for producing a nonwoven material. A nonwoven is formed in a former, and the nonwoven material web produced from the nonwoven is then consolidated. In the process, the nonwoven is formed in the former at least partly using a wet process, and the nonwoven material web produced from the nonwoven is consolidated using at least one consolidating device which operates according to the water jet entanglement method. At least one part of the processing water accumulated during the formation of the nonwoven using the wet process is combined with at least one part of the processing water accumulated during the water jet entanglement process, fibers recovered from the resulting processing water are fed back to the production process, and the remaining resulting processing water is at least partly used for the water jet entanglement process. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for carrying out the method.
